Getting Started
Owner Mode vs Recruiter Mode — which should you pick?
Owner Mode is for small business owners hiring occasionally. Recruiter Mode is for professionals running a daily pipeline.
Pick the mode that matches how often you hire, not your job title.
Choose Owner Mode if…
- You hire fewer than 5 people a year.
- You don't think of yourself as a recruiter.
- You want hiring to take 30 minutes a week, max.
- You'd rather see Recommended / Worth a Look / Probably Not than candidate scores.
You'll land in /app/owner with three nav items: Hiring, History, Settings. That's the whole product.
Choose Recruiter Mode if…
- You hire weekly or daily.
- You manage a pipeline across multiple open roles.
- You need decision packets you can hand to hiring managers.
- You live in your hiring software 4+ hours a day.
You'll land in /app/employer with the full surface — Pipeline Pulse, applicants, analytics, decision packets, share links.
Can I switch?
Yes. Go to Settings → Switch hiring mode. Your data is preserved either way.
Can a team use both?
Today, each user picks one mode. When we ship Team MVP (post-validation), a single org will be able to host both owner-style and recruiter-style users together.
