My setup link expired or doesn't work

Setup links are valid for 72 hours and can only be used once. Here's how to get a new one.

Setup links — the ones in the welcome email after you sign up — are:

  • Valid for 72 hours from issue.
  • Single-use — clicking the link to set your password "consumes" it.
  • Per-account — issuing a new one invalidates older ones.

If yours has expired or you already used it and need another:

Option 1: Sign up again

Go to the homepage and sign up with the same email. If your account hasn't been activated yet, we'll re-issue a new setup link to that address. If your account is already active (you've set your password before), we'll tell you to use /login instead.

Option 2: Forgot password

If you've already set a password before but it's not working, use the Forgot password flow at /login. That issues a fresh reset link with the same 72-hour window.

Option 3: Email us

hello@getaros.ai, subject "AROS setup link". We respond within one business day.

Why links expire

Security. A link that lives forever in someone's inbox is a phishing target. 72 hours is long enough to be useful, short enough to limit damage if an inbox is compromised.
